The H-2B Visa Process -
Arranging H-2B Visas for U.S. employers and international seasonal staff takes approximately 4-5 months from the initial application
to the arrival of the employee in the U.S.
Employers should:
Step 1
Complete the obligation-free register with h2b Jamaica by complteing an application
in full. An account manager will contact you about the rest of the process. H2B Jamaica will forward employee
applications for your review and choose those that meet your requirements.
H-2B Visa USA does all the rest, including:
Step 3
Applying for the Department of Labor Certification on your behalf. As required by law, advertisements are
placed in your local daily newspaper to prove that there is a shortage of American workers in your area.
Step 4
Having each employee sign an Employment Agreement once the Department of Labor certification is received.
Step 5
Submitting the H-2B petition to the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services and notifying both the employer
and employee once a decision has been made.
Step 6
Helping employees apply for the H-2B Visa at the U.S. Consulate in their home country and helping them arrange
transportation to the U.S. to start work for you.
The information below will help U.S. employers and international applicants understand the H-2B Visa process.
